Resize an image

Change the pixel size of a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Pick a long side, or enter a width and height to fit inside. The photo keeps its shape and is not enlarged.

How sizing works

  1. 1920, 1280, 1080, and 800 set the long side. A portrait photo gets that height. A landscape photo gets that width.
  2. Width alone, or height alone, scales the other side to match. Width and height together fit the photo inside that box.
  3. Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP, then drop the images. Change a size and the photos convert again.

PicKept does not enlarge

Stretching a small photo into a larger one does not add detail. If the photo is already smaller than the size you asked for, the original pixel size is kept and the file says so. Use Compress when the pixels are fine and only the file size is too big.

HEIC files are converted on HEIC to JPG before a resize.
